Alex Pearlman's Dream Machine: My Week in Comedy:... →
It’s all true! alexpearlman: It has been a great week so I figured I would share with all three of you what I’ve been up to. Saturday: I did the wonderful Porkchop Comedy show in Conshohocken, PA. I got to hang out with a bunch of comics I don’t get to see that often. Including the always irreverent Jim Grammond. If you…

Cover Letter for open position at The Late Show...
To Whom it May Con-soin,  It’s 2012, the year of ourselves, and I’m sitting in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania listening to Todd Glass come out of the closet and I’m writing a cover letter for the position of stand-up comedy booker at to The Late Show with David Letterman. Google Docs doesn’t even recognize the occupation I’m dreaming of as a word. Ironically comedy booker is the man or woman...

Couching Surfing Coaching
If you’re a couch surfer you know it’s not easy to get by day to day. Here’s three ways to keep yourself sheltered: 1. Keep clean - a filthy houseguest is soon a street urchin. 2. Be polite - no one wants to accommodate a jerk. 3. Tell stories - people let you slide if you’re interesting, funny and they can live vicariously through you.

Busted For Tweeting by Molly Knefel →
Last night during an OWS Day of Action my friend, former roommate and comedian comrade John Knefel was arrested last night at the Winter Garden in Lower Manhattan. He, along with seventeen other protestors, were arrested essentially for filming and tweeting the events of the day in front of a gang of police officers. Either that or they heard from someone that he is a great roommate and always...

I don't have any MONEY. I've been paying for child...
“There was minor shock in the office when [Ron] Paul informed the staff they would no longer participate in the federal Medicaid or Medicare programs. ‘People will pay as they can,’ scrub nurse Donna White, who later married her boss’s youngest brother, recalls the doctor saying. ‘And if they can’t, that’s fine.’ One family, she says, paid him...

Violence
There’s no way around it. The times, they are a-changing. What is wonderful is how peaceful the protesters are in late 2011 as opposed to the violent everyone other than MLK were in the 60s. The violence protesters are receiving however is violently depressing. I am Under The Weather Ground.

Black Pepper Friday
Pretty sane, right? I’d say this was excellent that the Occupy movement is getting more aggressive, but guess what? The pepper spraying woman was ALSO A WAL-MART SHOPPER. She was trying to get an edge over the other shoppers so she pepper sprayed them and their kids. Those kids are quick and agile and you just can’t compete with them without an advantage. As of noon people are still...
